Day 3: Jobs

Today, I went to the Japanese Embassy to drop my visa application. I came quite early that I arrived at 9 something and got my self done at 9.43 AM. Instead of going home straight I decided to go to Grand Indonesia, the shopping mall.

After took lunch in the mall I went to Gramedia, a book store and read TIMES magazine. The magazine talks alot about Steve Jobs. Actually it wasn't a good feeling. Deep inside my heart I still feel lost of his departure.

Steve Jobs, has inspired many people in the world that
~ Graduated from college doesn't guarantee someone to be a succesful person. Drop out students might be more succesfull.
~ Perfectionist seems to be a bad idea, but if Jobs weren't one maybe he never made masterpiece.
~ He told his girlfriend when he's about teenager or early 20s that he is going to be a millionaire one day.
~ The most important thing is engaging with cancer (and any desease) is not an obstacle to move on and being productive in life.

Well, I bet many of you had read many things about him. However these 4 things are the most remarkable things for me from him.

Rest in peace, Jobs.. thanks for inventing that makes life has become more colorful.

we miss you.

Day 2: Pressure

Hey, I am back! this is Day 2 of the whole 40 days project of me being regularly writing on my blog.

I honestly at the beginning had no idea what to write. I meant to write something interesting. Until at late evening on my way back home I realized something very interesting.

At my spare time I work as tutor, privately, to 3 primary-schooled students. They study in an international school in Southern Jakarta and I can tell that they come from quite a rich family. Their name are Randall (grade 6), Shem (grade 5), and Laurdi (grade 3).

Each kids has different and unique attitude. But today I wanna focus on Randall.

My specialties are Math and Science but for them I teach math all the time especially helping them doing their homework.
Randall is a very talkative person. So even when we are working on the paper he would talk talk and talk. He always has something to tell and he is a very good story-teller.

The funny thing is he can attract my attention with his story.

Usually, someone who good at talking is not really good at Math. So is Randall. He has problem in math (I admitt that). He couldn't understand applied mathematic. That pisses me off. He has the homework and for these past 2 weeks we have been doing the same topic but he seems like didn't learrn anything.

Today, we were doing the papers, his homeworks. Again, he didn't understand the point of the question. He actually didn't pay attention. So.. I was pretty upset.
I spoke to him with higher intonate and I could feel that he was nervous. I took his paper and in high intense I asked him one by one.

This thing was revealed. When I asked him in higher intonation, under pressure, and at upset emotion he could answer all the question precisely!

Everytime I ask him slowly, nicely, and in low pace pressure Randall doesn't answer at all. His comment only "I don't know" and his eyes rolling over the studying room but not to his paper.

See? Some kids work out when they're under pressure.

Nice invention!

Ouch! It's a Challenge!!

Hi there, all of you my followers, readers, and bloggers out there! It's been a while since I updated my blog last time. Well, I actually had been very busy and at the end I forgot that I had a blog. Shame on me..

Anyway, lately I had been thinking about doing something new and different. I have to tell you that I fell my life is kinda boring and.. useless :(. Therefore, I wanna do something. Different. But the most important thing is to challange my self and it must be achievable.

Inspired by the movie 'Julie and Julia', I am encouraged to do something similar with what Julie did.. She wrote a blog regularly about cooking for 100% (if I am not mistaken).

Why blogging? Basically it is wabout writing. I always believe that by writing, I am working my brain out which is good (I guess). Reading book is good, but pouring down your idea (maybe from the book you have read) is much better because you are developing the analytical thinking for your self. Secondly is I realize that I am a random person. I don't really think sequencely, so I believe by writing down my thought and idea regarding something particular it will help me to think properly :D

and the third is I love the idea of challenge! I wanna know far I can discipline my self. Like the secret of athlete to be successful is being discipline all the time. That's why, since it has been a while I don't really being hard for my self now is the right time.

HAHA.. don;t think that I am going to blog something related with cooking. Perhaps, sometimes. The idea is I am going to write anything randomly for 40 days everyday. I Sounds good, huh?

So, today is the first day and wow! I am exciteddddd!!!!!! :D :D :D
